About Solerco Products Ltd 

Solerco Products was founded in 1976 by Carlo Capaldi after he met Dott. Antonio Meucci. Carlo was already part of a well-established ice cream family in York, and being born into the business meant he had many years’ experience making and selling ice cream. 
He had certainly served many hours in apprenticeship, and often spoke of his fond memories of not only making the ice cream but also selling from one of the family vans. At the time of the first meeting between Carlo and Antonio, the company Meucci in Milan were wishing to expand into the UK market, and Carlo saw the potential for quality continental style ice cream in the UK. It was a challenge, as any suggestion made to the UK manufacturers to change their style of ice cream was met with a response of ‘my customers only like vanilla and strawberry. Help in changing their views came across the Atlantic with the appearance of American Ice Cream Parlours serving many different flavours.

Tools 

Scoop / portioner sizes determine the amount of scoops of ice cream/sorbet per litre, so the larger the number, the smaller the scoop size would be.
